What?
Anywhere in the world, women are very concerned with the activities of their children. In addition, they are often the driving force for agricultural undertakings, shops, handicrafts, ...
That’s why we follow two tracks. On one hand, we address women and women movements to support a school project of Terr@dialoog.
On the other hand, they can support a real ‘Women Garden’. Terr@dialoog-projects are ‘integral’ projects: we try to involve as many people from the region as possible. If women want to form a group, we will help them to start up a common garden, a little store, an art workshop, workplace, etc.
Wat is ons doel?
With the support of a common (agricultural) undertaking for women, we aim to:
- improve the standard of living of women and their families and thus create the opportunity to send even girls to school.
- help women to increase independency.
- tend to equal rights/treatment of men and women, with respect for their culture and traditions.
- give a new drive to the community, trough the women in action.
- confronting Western women with the situation of women in developing countries.
- draw the attention of western women to the environmental problems in these regions (e.g. desertification, deforestation,…)
- transfer the bond, which joins all women and children on earth, into action
